We Don’t Always See What We Think We See

Rotating Illusion — Pink Eye Trick
Are you sure you really see it disappear?

If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, the dots will remain only one color: pink. However if you stare at the black “+” in the center, the moving dot turns to green.

Now, concentrate on the black “+” in the center of the picture. After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see only a single green dot rotating.

It’s amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don’t disappear. Proof enough that we don’t always see what we think we see . . .

freaky…I once worked at an engineering firm (Fluor Corp.) in the early 80’s where I was designing on a CAD system which had an old style ‘green phosphorus’ display. After 8-10 hours of looking at the screen, at the end of the day everything with the color white would appear pink.Including shirts, eyes, cars, teeth. and even the white lines on the freeway (405fwy) would be pink. The first time this happened I thought I was losing my eyesight.
